Backend Developer - Python / FastAPI

Position : Senior Backend Engineer.

Location : Gurugram.

Working Days : Monday to Friday.

Experience Required : 5+ Years.

The Role :

Lead the backend architecture of next generation AI video creation.

Engineer high performance, scalable systems powering complex AI workflows, video pipelines, and real time content generation.

Directly shape the technical foundation of an AI platform transforming business video content :

• Work with the latest in AI / ML video generation.
• Build systems handling millions of images, thousands of videos daily.
• Architect cloud native solutions integrating computer vision, NLP, and generative AI.
• Be part of a high growth AI startup with a global Responsibilities :
• Design and build robust APIs powering AI video workflows (from uploads to delivery).
• Architect microservices for scalable, efficient video processing with strong fault tolerance.
• Optimize databases (both SQL and NoSQL) for large scale media, user data, and model artifacts.
• Implement real time video processing with low latency streaming and concurrent request Integration :
• Deploy and integrate AI models (diffusion, GANs, transformers) for video generation.
• Build ML Ops pipelines for model versioning, A / B testing, monitoring.
• Partner with AI researchers to productionize models and optimize inference.
• Build model serving infrastructure (auto scaling, high and Scalability :
• Design for 10x scale in video generation volumes.
• Optimize video encoding and transcoding (cutting edge codecs, distributed processing).
• Implement advanced caching, monitor system performance (APM tools, custom and DevOps :
• Build robust CI / CD for backend and ML models.
• Implement monitoring for all services and jobs.
• Architect for resilient disaster recovery.
• Collaborate on cloud cost optimization for AI Qualifications Expertise :
• 5+ years backend experience with high scale, production systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI / Django for APIs).
• Strong proficiency in Node.js for building scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and real time systems.
• Hands-on experience with AI / ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face).
• Video / media expertise (FFmpeg, OpenCV, multimedia pipelines).
• Database mastery (PostgreSQL / MySQL and MongoDB / Redis).
• Cloud platform experience : AWS, GCP, or Azure (EC2, S3, Lambda, Domain Skills :
• Computer vision (object detection, segmentation, style transfer).
• Video codecs and streaming (H.264, H.265, adaptive bitrate).
• Distributed and parallel processing for media / ML.
• API design (RESTful, GraphQL, Websocket / event driven).
• Message queues (Redis, RabbitMQ, and Soft Skills :
• Startup mentality; flexible and fast moving.
• Strong problem solving, performance optimization skills.
• Ability to collaborate deeply with AI, product, and frontend teams.
• Communicate clearly to technical and non technical stakeholders.
• Fast learner who tracks the latest in AI / video :
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
