Position Summary:

Stuart School of Business at Illinois Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position for its newly established Mumbai campus in India. Stuart seeks candidates with research and teaching interests in business analytics, with additional experience or interest in artificial intelligence, data visualization, management science, operations research, project management, and/or statistical modeling. Candidates with practical industry experience and demonstrated ability to collaborate with disciplines within the school are also preferred but not required.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to teach in undergraduate and graduate business programs and will be expected to engage in research with school faculty in Chicago and Mumbai. Stuart highly encourages collaborative research across its core disciplinary pillars of management, finance, economics, and analytics, supporting the school's long-standing history as an innovator in those disciplinary pillars, offering some of the world's first programs that combine one of the core disciplines with technology, data-driven methodologies, and tight integration with the business community.

Faculty and Students

Our faculty comprises 27 full-time distinguished scholars and teachers who hold doctorates from notable institutions, including University of California, Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon University, McGill University, M.I.T., Purdue University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, University of Chicago, University of Michigan, University of Southern California, Texas A&M University, Vanderbilt University, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and Yale University. Many also have industry backgrounds at major corporations. Stuart faculty have published in premier journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Applied Psychology, the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Operations Management, MIS Quarterly, and Production and Operations Management.

Skills Experience & Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant business discipline from an accredited university by August 2026
• Strong teaching skills
• Demonstrated ability to publish in refereed academic journals
• Teach courses at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels
• Conduct scholarly research consistent with the expectations of a doctoral-granting university.
