Sr Specialist I, Cost Control

The Sr Specialist I – Cost Control at KBR is responsible for managing and overseeing cost control activities for Oil & Gas FEED and Detail Engineering projects. The role focuses on cost modeling, forecasting, and financial tracking within a Home Office engineering environment to support effective project financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cost control activities for FEED and Detail Engineering projects in the Oil & Gas sector
• Develop, establish, and maintain cost model systems for accurate project tracking
• Prepare and manage revenue and cost forecasts throughout the project lifecycle
• Monitor project costs and identify variances against budgets and forecasts
• Utilize SAP systems for cost control, reporting, and financial analysis
• Prepare detailed cost reports for internal project and management review
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across project controls
• Support project teams with cost-related analysis and insights
• Use Excel and MS Office tools for data analysis, reporting, and documentation
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of experience in cost control within Oil & Gas FEED and Detail Engineering projects
• Strong experience working in a Home Office project environment
• Proficiency in SAP for cost control and financial reporting
• Advanced skills in Excel and MS Office applications
