Lead Data Scientist - Python / SQL

Job descriptionExperience : 8 to 11 years. Strong experience in exploratory data analysis, ML experiment design, statistical testing, and frameworks. Proven experience in designing and scaling up data science solutions. Experience working in scrum teams with Agile tools like JIRA. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex concepts and technical material to non-technical users. Retail or Ecommerce domain is preferable. Has mentored or led small teams of 2 to 4 team members. Advanced understanding of statistics is a must - at least 8 years of hands-on experience in solving data science problems. Should have worked extensively in any of the following : multiple linear regression / logistic regression / clustering / random forests / forecasting / mathematical optimization. Expertise in tools required to execute a data science project - SQL, Python, ML algorithms. Expertise in using Cloud solutions(AWS, Azure, etc. ) for deploying data science projects. Synthesizing findings and insights through effective storytelling through visualization tools such as Power BI.
Responsibilities :
- Design and lead the development and deployment of solutions that leverage data sciences and advanced analytics to drive incremental value for a retail business.
- Be responsible for working on multiple use cases at the same time.
- Analyse and model structured data using advanced statistical methods and implement algorithms and software needed to perform analysis.
- Manage the continuous improvement of data science / ML by following industry trends and staying up to date.
- Develop and recommend process standards and best practices in ML.
- Build relevant new capabilities in advanced.
