Job Description :
As a part of MS support team deliverables, the engineer is required to have strong Admin, Operate and Manage skills in AWS and OCI to provide services for global HPE customers. Candidate should have a strong customer focus, sensitivity in dealing with diverse cultures, ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Provide advanced support and strategic guidance.
Lead complex issues, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
Supports transition and transformation initiatives, migrations, upgrades, and automation.
Acts as a technical liaison between internal teams, customers, and third-party vendors.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and process improvement.
Eligibility & Qualification :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or Equivalent).
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Managed Service environment.
- Expertise in AWS, OCI and any other Public Cloud.
- Certification on the latest tracks of AWS and OCI is an added advantage.
- ITIL foundation certification on the latest track is preferred.
- Experience in leading technical teams or Projects is an added advantage.
- Flexible working in 24 / 7 support environment.
- Minimum level should be SPE if applying as part of Internal Job Posting.
Technical Skills :
Provision, configure, and manage resources on AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platform, including EC2, S3, compute instances, storage, networking, and databases.Implement and maintain security controls and compliance measures in accordance with AWS and OCI best practices and organizational requirements.Monitor AWS and OCI services and infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS and OCI resources, including connectivity, performance, and access controls.Plan and execute AWS & OCI migrations, upgrades, and expansions in coordination withstakeholders and project teams.
Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for AWS and OCI resources.Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate AWS and OCI services with existing infrastructure, applications, and services.Stay up to date with AWS and OCI features, updates, and new releases, evaluating and recommending improvements as needed.Experience with networking concepts and protocols, including VPC, Fast Connect, LB, VPN, VCN, and security lists, NSG, all gatewaysExperience in troubleshooting compute EC2, VM, RDS, auto-scaling, Cost management, lambda, EDR, FSS, EFS, S3, Object Storage etc.,Good understanding of DHCP, DNS and Active Directory.Basic knowledge of Physical Network and Storage technologies.Basic understanding of REST APIs, PowerShell, and database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL).Key Responsibilities :
Resolve customer’s issues via telephone, email, or remote sessions.Identify and escalate issues in a timely manner to vendor according to process guidelines.Leverage internal technical expertise, including peers, mentors, knowledge base, community forums and other internal tools, to provide the most effective solutions to customer issues.Collaborate with other technology teams in diagnosing and isolating the cause of complex issues.Maintain quality on case documentation, SLA timeframes and operational metrics.Performs within the Productivity Measure of the team (scorecard).Handle Problem Management, Post Incident Reviews and RCA.Non-Technical Skills :
