System Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled System Security Engineer to strengthen our security posture and safeguard critical systems, networks, and applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in security architecture, threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response, along with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Security Design & Implementation

Design, implement, and maintain secure systems, applications, and networks.

Apply industry standards, security best practices, and regulatory requirements across infrastructure and applications.

Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing

Perform routine vulnerability assessments and penetration tests.

Identify weaknesses in systems and recommend remediation strategies.

Incident Response & Management

Lead response to security incidents including breaches and system compromises.

Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective measures.

Monitoring & Threat Intelligence

Use SIEM, IDS / IPS, and other monitoring tools to detect suspicious activities.

Analyze threats, track emerging risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Security Policy & Compliance

Develop, enforce, and update security policies, procedures, and technical controls.

Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational security frameworks.

Security Training & Awareness

Conduct employee training sessions to promote a security-first mindset.

Support teams with secure development and operational practices.

Firewall, Antivirus & Endpoint Protection

Manage firewalls, antivirus, EDR / XDR, and endpoint protection tools.

Regularly update configurations to maximize system defenses.

Disaster Recovery & Backup Planning

Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Test backup systems and ensure fast recovery during security events.

Collaboration & Reporting

Work closely with IT, DevOps, operations, and development teams to embed security across workflows.

Prepare regular reports on security posture, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
