As a part of the Analytics & Engineering Team , you will have a great chance to build tools and pipelines from early days by reinventing the concept of using data for the greater good.
Role Summary :
Varahe Analytics is launching a multi-state program to build and maintain a national-scale voter database enriched with economic, demographic, administrative and geospatial layers. As Project Manager, you will own end-to-end delivery from scoping and planning through execution, governance and adoption working closely with engineering, data, GIS, field, and partner teams. You will drive timelines, quality, and stakeholder alignment while establishing repeatable processes for a multi-phase, multi-state rollout.
Key responsibilities :
1. Translate business goals into a measurable delivery plan (scope, milestones, budget, risks, RACI) and maintain a single source of truth (program tracker, RAID log, decision register).
2. Lead multi-phase state rollouts : ingestion of electoral rolls, entity resolution, deduping, geocoding, enrichment with economic and demographic data, and publication to internal products / dashboards.
3. Run weekly / bi-weekly ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, reviews) and enforce SLAs for data ingestion, QA, and releases.
4. Coordinate cross-functional teams (Data Engineering, Analytics, GIS, Infra / Security, QA, Field Ops) and external vendors (e.g., geospatial partners); clear blockers proactively.
5. Define and enforce quality gates (schema validation, data QC, lineage checks, audit trails) and ensure compliance with applicable laws / consents and internal governance policies.
6. Manage change requests, versioning, and stakeholder communications; publish status reports and executive readouts.
7. Own go-live readiness (runbooks, roll-back plans, monitoring) and post-launch reviews (KPIs, lessons learned, remediation).
Key Skills-
1. 4–7 years in project management for data platforms, analytics, or large ETL / MDM initiatives (public sector, govtech, market research, or political data is a plus).
2. Proven delivery of multi-workstream programs with external partners; strong risk management and governance discipline.
3. Familiarity with modern data stacks (e.g., Data Build Tool, Airflow, AWS Services), cloud data warehouses (PostGres / BigQuery / Snowflake / Redshift / Graph DB), and geospatial workflows .
4. Working knowledge of data privacy, security, and consent frameworks; comfort driving DPA / SOWs with vendors.
5. Excellent written / oral communication; executive reporting and stakeholder management skills. PMP / Prince2 / Agile certifications are a plus .
