Job description

Role

  • Develop, customise, and maintain WordPress websites (themes, plugins, WooCommerce) and Shopify storefronts (Online Store 2.0, Liquid, custom apps).
  • Integrate APIs, payment gateways, third-party apps, and back-end systems.
  • Optimise for performance, security, and SEO—delivering Core Web Vitals compliance.
  • Implement responsive, accessible, and pixel-perfect UI / UX using HTML5, CSS / SCSS, and JavaScript / TypeScript.
  • Manage deployments with Git, CI / CD pipelines, staging workflows, and structured releases.
  • Collaborate with designers, marketers, and project managers to translate requirements into technical builds.
  • Maintain documentation, provide technical handovers, and ensure long-term stability of projects.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of professional development experience with a strong portfolio in WordPress and Shopify.
  • Advanced skills in PHP, MySQL, Liquid, JavaScript / TypeScript .
  • Deep knowledge of WooCommerce and Shopify’s latest extensibility features.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot performance issues and implement caching, CDN, and optimisation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of web security best practices.
  • Proficient in Git workflows and modern development practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
