Ensure GMP, food safety & hygiene is enforced in all areas of factory
Maintain an up to date product specification sheet for all products
Maintain supplier specification & testing records
Active part of HACCP team to ensure accreditation and implementation timelines are met
Identify gaps in food safety & hygiene through regular mock recalls & internal audits and set measures & controls to ensure gaps are filled
Assist with presenting root cause analysis & preventive methods to management when issues related to quality, safety, hygiene & productivity arises
Liaises with external auditors to ensure activities are explained and non conformances are resolved promptly & effectively
Ensure retention samples for all products are stored and maintained
Conduct analytical tests for raw materials and finished goods are performed for every batch and maintain records
2. Production
Plan and schedule weekly production ensuring raw materials are stocked and resource allocated efficiently (raw materials, labels, packaging available & stocked, staffing allocated, etc.)
Build efficiency & productivity in production capacity through complete understanding of daily activities & demand forecasting through communication with relevant stakeholders
3. New Product Development
Assist with new product development sourcing raw materials, packaging materials and conducting bench trials
Implement SOPs for production of new products
4. Reporting
Present daily report for QA, QC and NC to the Factory Manager at the end of every day
Experience
2 years experience as QA / QC, production in food manufacturing industry, preferably baking sector
Atleast Bachelors in Food Science or similar degree
