Job descriptionBuying knowledge of Raw Material like steel plates ,Electrical, Hydraulic& Pneumatic items, Oil & Lubricants , Bearings and capital goods . Knowledge and conversant with auction / disposal of scrap. Knowledge of Stores management & Inventory control is preferred. MIS preparation such as Monthly Review reports related to Materials deptt. Willing to travel frequently in India for follow ups Excellent negotiation skills for getting competitive pricing &to focus on savings on materials. Excellent oral & written communication skills. Knowledge of Taxes & duties applicable on indigenous & overseas procurement. Experience in rate contracts. Knowledge of working on computers including word, excel, power point & SAP / ERP. Commitment to provide quality product at right price at right time. To implement innovate cost reduction measures to procure the material at lowest possible price.
Preferred Candidate profile :
- Diploma in Mechanical Engg OR Degree in Mechanical Engg with 10-14 (Diploma) or 5 -8 (Degree) years of experience having more than 60% marks throughout his academic record.
- Additional qualification in Materials Management is preferred.
- Experience of Procurement in engineering / capital goods manufacturing company.
