Roles & Responsibilities : -
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates, budgets, and conditional building material and labor costs.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and / or the client.
- Prepare and negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers and contractors.
- Develop contract documents, including detailed specifications and drawings.
- Analyze project plans and cost proposals to ensure they are within budget.
- Prepare and submit cost trend reports and weekly or monthly payment requests.
- Monitor material consumption, labor and contractor performance, and progress payments.
- Prepare periodic estimates and forecasts of material and labor costs for timely project adjustments.
- Prepare and submit change orders and contract modifications for approval.
- Consult with owners, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project compliance.
- Track utilization and waste of resources, materials, and subcontractor work to maximize productivity
- Measure and value the work done on site for interim payments.
Qualification
A bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Exposure in quantity surveying & construction management,Hands-on experience through internships or entry-level roles is essential for learning project costing, contract management, and budgeting.Professional certifications provide industry recognition, improve job prospects, and may be required for certain advanced roles.Skills Required
