Senior Technical Business Analyst

Main responsibilities

As a Senior Technical EDI business analyst at Volvo Cars, you will act as an intermediary between the business community, technical community, and Volvo Cars’ trading partners to elicit, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which solutions are developed and delivered.

EDI Solution Architecture aspiration is a plus since there is an opportunity for evolvement of the role.

You will perform business analysis techniques in working with these partners to understand the business processes and needs that enable EDI B2B integration projects to be successful and goals to be met. You will also assist in test validation and the rolling out of enhancements and bug fixes.

• Facilitate meetings with all stakeholders to elicit, define, and refine integration requirements
• Analyze, develop, and manage detailed requirements documentation
• Manage EDI B2B projects through testing, validation, and implementation
• Develop life cycle documents, including detailed functional requirements, software (data translation) and other design specifications, and user manuals.
• Provide test cases to the developers
• Verify and validate complete end-to-end testing with the business and trading partners
• Work with the developers to verify project completion for supportability
• Utilize strong written and oral communication skills to regularly update stakeholders on project status, e.g. project phase, issues / roadblocks, go-live dates, etc.
• Develop and plan strategies and improvements for EDI Solutions within Volvo Cars together with Service Manager for EDI
• Maintain a high level of knowledge in the field of EDI and software as well as in Volvo Cars business architecture
• Knowledge of software architecture, integration concepts and integration patterns
• Knowledge of creating integration design proposals and documenting them
