Job Description

Job title : Quality Engineer

Education :

Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics Engineering

Experience :

Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in electrical / Instrumentation panel in Electrical / Electronics industries

Skills and Competency :

Quality background with technical knowledge in mechanical industries of panel manufacturing processes like Sheet metal punching fabrication welding pretreatment process powder coating electro plating process. Knowledge in statistical process analysis and supplier process assessment. Material standard knowledge like DIN IS ASTM etc. and Type testing knowledge of IP NEMA CE UL etc. ISO 9001 standard knowledge and certification for internal auditor Able to conduct HV-IR testing for electrical & instrumentation panels.

Job role :

Inspection of mechanical components like panels consoles sheet metal parts machining parts mechanical hardware Moulded parts etc. Inspection of In-process quality checks and Final out-going quality checks for DCS / PLC instrumentation / electrical panels / cabinets Preparation and maintaining the quality inspection report and check sheets SAP knowledge is preferred Supplier visit and inspection Supplier technical assessment related to process and to conducting audit Supplier quality performance assessment

Key Responsibilities :

Planning & conducting In-process quality Inspection of panels / cabinets. Planning & conducting Inspection at supplier premises. Conducting RCA for Non-conformance and arrive at CAPA Supplier Evaluation and Report preparation. First sample evaluation. To plan and conduct supplier meetings to improve the quality performance of vendors. Preparation of Inspection QMS procedures and check -ordination with production materials engineering and projects departments. Preparation of monthly reports (includes Quality punches quality performance) Co-ordination for disposal of non-conforming items. Training / guidance to technical assistants and Inspectors. To ensure TMI calibration of test and measuring instruments Maintenance of quality records Any other activity as per the direction of head of department.
