Role & responsibilities
Collect, verify, and reconcile ledgers to prepare the Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, and Balance Sheet at the end of the financial year. Ensure all entries (accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and provisions) are correctly posted before closing the books.
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B, 9, 9C) within deadlines, maintain accurate Input and Output GST ledgers, and perform periodic GST reconciliations between books, portal data, and vendor filings.
Maintain documentation for input tax credit, tax payments, and audit reports. Support statutory and internal audits by providing ledgers, reconciliations, and proofs.
Stay updated on changes in GST legislation and accounting standards (AS / Ind AS) to ensure proper regulatory compliance and accurate reporting.
Analyze the Profit & Loss Account to identify cost-saving opportunities, discrepancies, or unusual variances, and report findings to management for corrective action.
Assist Chartered Accountants or tax advisors during audit finalisation and respond to audit queries with necessary supporting documentation.
Preferred candidate profile
Finalisation of Accounts, GST Return Filing, having worked in a CA Firm for minimum 2 years.
