Role Overview :
We are seeking a seasoned Azure Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of our cloud infrastructure and solutions on Microsoft Azure.
You will be responsible for crafting scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures that align with business goals, ensuring smooth migration and integration of enterprise workloads to Azure.
As an Azure Architect, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and operations to define cloud strategies, select appropriate technologies, and enforce best practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure services including compute, storage, networking, security, and monitoring.
- Develop Azure architecture blueprints, reference architectures, and governance frameworks aligned with enterprise standards.
- Drive cloud adoption and migration strategies, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and cloud-native solutions.
- Architect scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructures using Azure services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, and more.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Define and implement security best practices including identity and access management (Azure AD), encryption, network security groups, and compliance controls.
- Oversee monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks leveraging Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and governance to cloud engineers and stakeholders.
- Evaluate new Azure services and tools to continuously improve cloud architecture and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure and application issues.
- Ensure solutions comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
Required Qualifications :
8+ years of IT experience with at least 4+ years designing and implementing solutions on Microsoft Azure.Deep knowledge of Azure core services : Compute (VMs, AKS), Storage, Networking (VNet, Load Balancers), Security, Identity Management (Azure AD).Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles including microservices, serverless, event-driven designs.Experience with hybrid cloud environments and on-premises to cloud migrations.Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.Knowledge of container orchestration and management (Docker, Kubernetes).Experience with DevOps pipelines and tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).Familiarity with compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO27001, and implementing cloud security controls.Excellent communication skills to articulate technical solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; relevant certifications preferred(ref : hirist.tech)
