The company is seeking a seasoned Virtual CFO to provide strategic leadership over its finance function on a part-time, remote basis. The Virtual CFO will work closely with the Founder / Director and will be supported by a full-time, on-site FP&A Manager for day-to-day financial execution. This is a high-impact strategic role designed for a senior finance leader with proven CFO experience, particularly in the manufacturing sector.

About the Company

The company is a Surat-based diamond jewellery manufacturer, serving exclusively B2B clients, including retailers and wholesalers. Known for its precision, quality, and reliable production capabilities, the company is scaling rapidly with plans to surpass ₹100 Cr in turnover by 2025. A team expansion of over 200 employees is underway to support this growth.

Key Responsibilities

The Virtual CFO will drive financial leadership in the following key areas :

1. Strategic Finance & Fund Planning

  • Optimize the use of client advances, vendor credit, and internal reserves.
  • Recommend fund allocation strategies and working capital structures.
  • Advise on financing options, risk mitigation, and capital structuring.

2. Working Capital & Cash Flow Management

  • Forecast weekly / monthly cash flows and flag shortfalls proactively.
  • Ensure procurement plans (gold, diamonds) do not strain liquidity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve working capital efficiency.

    • 3. Budgeting & Cost Oversight

  • Set up and monitor budget vs. actual frameworks.
  • Identify and report cost overruns in key functions (e.g., production, logistics, payroll).

    • 4. Fundraising Support

  • Prepare MIS, projections, and investor / banking decks as needed.
  • Guide fundraising strategies including LC / PAD and credit facility planning.

    • 5. Financial Systems & Reporting

    Define clear data / reporting requirements (Excel, ERP, MIS) to streamline inputs. Deliver key outputs such as :

  • Initial diagnostic & gap report
  • 3-month rolling cash flow model
  • Monthly / quarterly budgeting framework
  • Working capital improvement plan
  • Fundraising roadmap

    • 6. Strategic Advisory

    Advise management on major decisions such as :

  • Accepting low-margin or partial-payment orders
  • Launching new projects or capacity expansions
  • Growth initiatives across operations and marketing

    • Requirements

    Key Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15+ years of experience.
  • Prior experience operating as a CFO or senior finance leader in a manufacturing setup.
  • Deep understanding of working capital, fund flow, and financial controls.
  • Ability to work independently with remote discipline and accountability.
  • Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.

    • Requirements

    Key Requirements Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15+ years of experience. Prior experience operating as a CFO or senior finance leader in a manufacturing setup. Deep understanding of working capital, fund flow, and financial controls. Ability to work independently with remote discipline and accountability. Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
