Position : Senior SAP CPI Engineer (P3)

Location : Remote

Duration : 3+ Months

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Senior SAP CPI Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions using SAP BTP Integration Suite / SAP CPI and API Management. This role ensures adherence to best practices and governance, delivering high-quality integration flows across SAP and non-SAP environments, including S / 4HANA systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Integration Architects to interpret business requirements and develop integration designs.
  • Build, configure, and optimize integrations in SAP CPI using protocols such as IDOC, HTTPS, REST, SFTP, and JDBC.
  • Develop and embed Groovy and JavaScript code in CPI iFlows for customization.
  • Work with authentication protocols including OAuth, SAML, and certificate-based methods.
  • Develop OData services, value mappings, API proxies, and manage SAP API Management configurations.
  • Support SAP ABAP system integration and assist in debugging S / 4HANA ABAP programs related to interfaces.
  • Adhere to governance and quality standards, produce technical design documents, and unit tests aligning with naming conventions.
  • Lead end-to-end system integration testing, support UAT, fix bugs, and prepare regression and performance test cases.
  • Demonstrate process knowledge in OTC, P2P, M2D, and FI functional areas.
  • Manage blockers proactively and flex work hours to sync with global teams when needed.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, with 5-7 years in software development.
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on SAP Integration Suite experience including SAP CPI, Groovy scripting, Open Connectors, API Management, and SAP BTP Event Mesh.
  • Deep knowledge of integration protocols, SAP ABAP configurations (SOAMANAGER, RFC, HTTP), and preferred exposure to S / 4HANA ABAP programming.
  • Proficiency with REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, OAuth, certificates, and keystores.
  • Understanding of DevOps, CI / CD tools like Azure DevOps and Git.
  • Skilled in API testing with tools like Postman or SOAP UI.
  • Experience migrating SAP PI interfaces to CPI.
