Skills & Competencies :

• Develop detailed 3D and 2D models of rails, sleepers, clips, pads, and bolts.
• Apply nonlinear contact mechanics for rail–fastener–sleeper interfaces.
• Simulate bolt preload, frictional sliding, and toe load loss under service conditions.
• Use mesh refinement strategies for stress concentration zones (e.g., clip bends, dowel threads).
• Simulate vertical axle loads, lateral forces from curve negotiation, and longitudinal braking loads.
• Perform transient dynamic simulations for vibration, impact, and shock loads.
• Conduct fatigue life prediction using S-N curves, rainflow counting, and Miner’s rule.
• Model thermal expansion, UV degradation, and moisture ingress effects on fastener materials.
• Use elasto-plastic, hyperelastic, and viscoelastic models for rubber pads and polymer liners.
• NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness)
