Role Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to support cost estimation activities for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within building projects in Singapore. The role involves working closely with MEP engineers and Project Manager to provide accurate cost advice, prepare estimates, variation cost evaluation and support value engineering efforts throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities Produce project performance information, collating benchmark data, case studies and project profiles. Identify principal risks and opportunities, raise awareness, address and resolve problems at project level. Support the project delivery team in the SG and maintain a schedule of potential financial implications for the various projects. Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, ELV and security, lift & escalator, plumbing & sanitary, fire protection, BMS etc.) at various design stages. Analyze drawings, specifications, and other project documents to quantify materials and labor requirements. Collaborate with MEP engineers and Project Manager to align cost plans with design intent and technical requirements. Conduct market research to benchmark costs and update unit rates. Support tender evaluations and provide cost comparisons for MEP packages. Assist in value engineering exercises to optimize cost without compromising functionality or compliance. Monitor cost changes and provide impact assessments during design development. Prepare cost reports and presentations for internal and client review. Prepare MEP variation cost estimates to support the preparation and issuance of variation orders to the Main and MEP contractors. Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements. Evaluation of MEP variation costs submitted by the Main and MEP contractors with preparation of progress and status reports.
