Job description

About the Foundation :

We are a philanthropic foundation committed to creating positive societal change by supporting high-impact nonprofits and institutions. Our work spans multiple causes—education, healthcare, livelihoods, and environmental sustainability among others—across diverse regions of India. Through strategic partnerships and collaborative giving, we aim to strengthen organizations and the ecosystem that enables sustainable, inclusive development.

Job Summary :

The Programs Associate will play a key role in strengthening the foundation’s institutional backbone — by building robust systems for data, processes, and learning. This role is designed for someone who believes that good systems create clarity, accountability, and space for creativity and impact. The Associate will help design and maintain management information systems (MIS), streamline processes, and bring coherence to programmatic and financial data — enabling better strategic decisions and collaborative working. This role sits at the intersection of programs, operations, and strategy — requires field-level presence and desk-based rigour, ensuring that information flows meaningfully across all layers of the foundation’s work.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Systems Design & Implementation

  • Develop, maintain, and improve MIS and data management tools that integrate programmatic, financial, and operational information
  • Work with program teams to design systems that are efficient yet flexible — capturing the nuances of diverse grants and partnerships
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and ease of access across teams

2. Enabling Better Decision-Making

  • Generate dashboards, trackers, and summaries that help leadership view the portfolio in a holistic, real-time manner
  • Draw insights from program and partner data to support learning, reflection, and strategic direction
  • Ensure that systems serve the purpose of learning and improvement, not just compliance
  • 3. Process Strengthening & Standardization

  • Help define and document internal workflows, templates, and review mechanisms to streamline operations at a partner level and at an institutional level
  • Balance the need for standardization with contextual flexibility for different programs and partners
  • Contribute to building institutional memory by organizing and systematizing key documents, reports, and learnings
  • 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with finance, programs, and operations teams to align data, analysis, and reporting systems
  • Liaise with external vendors, software developers, and consultants where necessary to ensure systems are user-friendly and responsive
  • Support partners in improving their own data systems and reporting capabilities, where relevant
  • 5. Learning, Reflection & Institutional Growth

  • Synthesize trends and insights emerging from internal data and partner reports
  • Contribute to quarterly and annual reviews, board presentations, and sectoral learning documents
  • Participate actively in building an organization that values continuous learning, collaboration, and transparent communication
  • Qualifications & Experience :

  • Master’s degree in Management, Data Analytics, Public Policy, Development Studies, or related fields
  • 3–6 years of experience in program management, MIS development, monitoring & evaluation, or
  • process design
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking orientation — ability to see the “big picture” through details
  • Experience with Excel, data visualization, or MIS tools preferred
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with comfort working across multiple functions
  • Personal Attributes :

  • Strong belief in the power of systems and structures to create fairness, transparency, and efficiency
  • A balance of analytical rigour and empathy in working with people and partners
  • Flexibility, patience, and curiosity to iterate and improve processes over time
  • Commitment to the foundation’s values of integrity, collaboration, and sectoral strengthening
  • Application Process and Position to be filled by :
