Role Summary :
The Director – University Relations leads the organization’s global university engagement strategy, shaping long-term partnerships that drive academic collaboration, cross-border alliances, and institutional growth. The role focuses on building high-value relationships with universities and education leaders to expand joint certification programs, global reach, and academic visibility.
This is a strategic, externally focused position, centred on influencing, negotiating, and strengthening partnerships at the highest levels of university leadership, while ensuring that all collaborations align with global education standards and the organisation’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead the development and execution of a global university relations strategy focused on building long-term institutional partnerships and academic alliances
Engage with senior academic leaders—including Vice Chancellors, Provosts, Registrars, and Deans—to initiate, structure, and strengthen collaborations
Design and formalize MoUs, MoAs, articulation pathways, and other partnership frameworks supporting joint certifications and institutional initiatives
Expand the organization’s institutional presence across major higher education ecosystems (India, US, EU, MENA, ASEAN)
Monitor higher education and accreditation regulations (UGC, AICTE, NAAC, AACSB, etc.) to ensure compliance and strategic alignment
Serve as the organization’s primary representative in all university and government-facing engagements, including academic summits and bilateral forums
Collaborate with legal, compliance, and marketing teams to ensure accurate contracting, co-branding, and partner enablement
Build and guide a focused team to support university outreach, partnership development, and relationship management
Qualification, Experience, Skills & Attributes :
Master’s or Doctorate in Education, Management, Public Policy, or International Relations preferred
12–20 years of progressive experience in university partnerships, higher education management, or institutional relations
Deep understanding of global higher education systems and regulatory frameworks across regions such as India, the US, the UK, the EU, and the Middle East
Proven success in initiating, structuring, and managing long-term institutional collaborations
Strategic communicator with strong executive presence and cultural fluency
Deep understanding of university governance and academic policy-making processes
Skilled in negotiation and cross-cultural engagement within international academic contexts
Collaborative leader capable of working effectively with legal, marketing, and strategic operations teams
Strong professional networks across universities, education ministries, and international academic associations
