Quality Assurance Engineer

A. Carry out an audit of proposed / existing suppliers, before/after placement of an order, to

assess/Verify their competencies and capabilities in context to the Quality Management System,

Engineering (Welding, Casting, Metallurgy), Quality Assurance, project specific requirements, and

any other aspect that have a direct effect on the quality of the end product.

B. Work towards implementation and development/management of documentation for new and

existing certifications. Carry out activities such as planning and conducting internal audits,

conducting management review meetings etc.

C. Review technical documents during Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) and, when required, respond,

under the supervision of the Lead Quality Engineer (LQE), to technical queries, clarification

requests, and deviations raised by bidders during Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE)

D. Develop / Revise / Review technical specifications and work instructions related to Welding,

Casting, Quality Assurance, and related activities.

E. VDR (Vendor Document Review) such as review of Weld Books, ITP / QAP, Heat treatment

procedures, Coating procedures, Cleaning procedures, Weld repair procedures etc.

F. Under the supervision of LQE, review of contract documents received from client and, if

requested, provide feedback to sales and proposal.

G. Develop new interfaces and techniques for process improvements.

H. Provide disposition to NCR, CR, and TQ during the execution of the project.

I. Preparing a list of required Quality documentation on VDL (Vendor Document List).

J. Preparing ITP for Danieli Corus (DC) proprietary items.

K. Review of DC Engineering documents such as drawing, TS, and MS prepared by other disciplines

at DC.

L. Conduct PIM as and when required.

M. Attend KOM for various purchase orders or contracts

N. Respond, under the supervision of LQE, to any miscellaneous issue related to Welding, Metallurgy,

Casting, or Quality Engineering.

A. 5-10 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree/diploma in degree in Mechanical / Production

/ Metallurgy / Manufacturing / Welding Engineering.

B. Must have minimum ISO 9001:2015 Lead auditor QMS certification, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 is an

advantage.

C. Must be able to read, speak, understand, and comprehend English and Hindi language at an

advanced level.

D. Must be able to audit the work in terms of compliance with technical requirements and Quality

Management Systems.
