Assistant Manager – Resource Management
Skills and Experience Required :
- 6–8 years of IT industry experience, with at least 3 years in workforce / resource management or related HR operations.
- Strong communication, planning, and organizing skills.
- Experience in IT human resource management in areas such as :
- Capacity planning and forecasting for a large unit (700+ staff).
- Career development planning and employee engagement.
- Allocation and de-allocation of staff to projects.
- Bench management and utilization improvement.
- Coordination with HR for skilling, re-skilling, and talent mobility.
- Exposure to workforce analytics, process design, and resource management tools is desirable.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Power BI / MS Project experience is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights for decision making.
- Good understanding of project management practices and workforce planning frameworks.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Work closely with Unit Leadership and HR to drive resource management and workforce planning for a 700-member unit.Partner with delivery managers to assess business needs and forecast resource demand across projects.Drive capacity planning, ensuring the right skills are available at the right time.Monitor and improve utilization by managing bench, internal mobility, and deployment processes.Maintain accurate records of staff skills, certifications, and career aspirations.Support employee career development through skilling, re-skilling, and mentoring coordination.Facilitate internal movements aligned to employee aspirations (project change, onsite, role growth, location change, etc.).Collaborate with recruitment teams to ensure timely fulfilment of staffing requirements.Track and publish regular reports / metrics on hiring, utilization, capacity, and bench to senior management.Ensure unit-level processes align with organization-wide HR and Resource Management practices.Contribute to initiatives on process improvement, workforce analytics, and talent development.Location : Trivandrum / Cochin
