About the role :
We are seeking a visionary and result-oriented professional to join our leadership team as the Head of Business Strategy & Sales . This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s structure, driving business growth, and leading the sales and client relations function. The ideal candidate will combine strategic foresight with a hands-on approach to execution—building teams, developing business models, fostering client relationships, and ensuring long-term scalability.
This role requires a strong entrepreneurial mindset, excellent people management skills, and a deep understanding of business operations, sales processes, and client dynamics.
Key Responsibilities :
Organizational Structuring & Leadership
- Design and implement an efficient organizational structure that supports growth and operational excellence.
- Establish clear team hierarchies, roles, and accountability systems across departments.
- Build a high-performing sales and strategy team by recruiting, training, and mentoring team members.
- Set departmental KPIs, monitor progress, and drive continuous improvement in performance and productivity.
- Develop internal workflows and coordination mechanisms to enhance inter-departmental communication and collaboration.
Business Strategy & Planning
Work directly with the Founders / Leadership to define and execute the company’s long-term vision, goals, and business roadmap.Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and trend mapping to identify new business opportunities.Translate business insights into actionable strategies that improve market positioning, profitability, and client satisfaction.Design annual and quarterly strategic plans, including revenue forecasts, pricing strategies, and expansion plans.Implement strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and profitability across all business functions.Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth
Build, lead, and manage the entire sales function — from lead generation to deal closure.Develop data-driven sales strategies, targets, and incentive structures.Establish systems for tracking pipeline performance, conversion metrics, and client acquisition costs.Personally engage in high-value pitches and negotiations with potential clients.Collaborate with marketing to align brand communication and lead generation campaigns with sales goals.Identify new revenue streams, partnerships, and business verticals to accelerate growth.Client Engagement & Relationship Management
Act as the strategic point of contact for key clients, representing the company in client meetings and presentations.Deeply understand client needs and industry dynamics to propose tailored solutions and retain long-term relationships.Build and nurture trusted relationships with C-level stakeholders, decision-makers, and strategic partners.Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, renewal, and advocacy.Oversee client onboarding, feedback collection, and performance reporting systems.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with marketing, operations, finance, and creative / technical teams to ensure alignment of goals and deliverables.Translate business and sales strategies into actionable projects across teams.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation across the organization.Collaborate with HR in creating performance frameworks and incentive programs that promote excellence and retention.Performance Tracking & Reporting
Establish robust reporting mechanisms for tracking KPIs, revenue progress, and team efficiency.Prepare detailed business performance reports and present insights to leadership for decision-making.Analyze data to forecast sales trends, monitor progress, and identify potential challenges early.Continuously assess strategy effectiveness and make data-backed adjustments when needed.Desired Profile & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or Strategy (MBA preferred).8+ years of experience in business development, sales strategy, or organizational leadership roles.Proven ability to build and lead sales teams that deliver measurable revenue growth.Strong grasp of business strategy formulation, operations scaling, and client lifecycle management.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Analytical and data-driven mindset with strategic problem-solving capabilities.Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting priorities.Demonstrated ability to translate vision into actionable plans and tangible results.Key Attributes We Value
