Roles & Responsibilities :
SEO & Discover Optimization
1. Lead Technical SEO audits, implementation, and monitoring (indexing, crawling, Core Web Vitals, structured data, canonicalization, etc.)
2. Develop and execute strategies for Google Discover visibility - including entity optimization, freshness, E-E-A-T, and topical authority
3. Conduct regular keyword and trend research for news, reviews, comparisons, and evergreen stories
4. Optimize content templates (news, listicles, comparisons, specs pages, etc.) for user intent and search discoverability
Intent & UX Optimization
1. Map and optimize content to align with search intent and buyer / user journeys
2. Use tools like Search Console, GA4, and third-party platforms (Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.) to identify traffic gaps, thin content, and cannibalization
3. Collaborate with editorial / product teams to improve on-page UX (internal linking, reading experience, scroll depth, etc.)
Cross-functional & Strategic Work
1. Partner with tech teams to implement and QA structured data, SEO tags, and performance improvements
2. Build dashboards and reports to track growth KPIs (CTR, Discover impressions, ranking deltas)
3. Stay updated with the latest Google algorithm changes (core, helpful content, spam, etc.) and adapt strategy accordingly
4. Contribute to site architecture improvements (URL structure, taxonomy, content hubs, etc.)
Skills Required :
1. SEO and growth experience, preferably in tech media or digital publishing
2.Proven experience handling large-scale content websites with dynamic templates
3. Deep understanding of Google Search algorithms and Discover ranking factors
4. Hands-on with tools : Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.
6. Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress and basic HTML / CSS / JS debugging
7. Understanding of Core Web Vitals, page speed, and mobile-first indexing
8. Basic understanding of UX principles and how content layout impacts engagement and rankings
