Mobile Crane Operator
Position Overview
Truck crane drivers are primarily responsible for driving and operating a crane mounted on a truck chassis, performing material lifting, handling, and installation operations at construction sites, factories, warehouses, docks, and other locations . This position requires familiarity with the operating procedures and safety regulations for cranes, ensuring accurate, safe, and efficient lifting operations.
Main Responsibilities
1. Crane operation
Drive the truck crane to the designated construction or work site.
According to the commander's instructions, operate the crane to lift, transfer and position heavy objects.
Adjust the boom length, angle and slewing range to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations.
Select the appropriate outrigger deployment method according to working conditions to maintain equipment stability.
1. Equipment inspection and maintenance
Check the wire rope, hook, boom, hydraulic system, braking system and safety protection devices before operation.
Perform routine maintenance (lubrication, oiling, cleaning) to keep the equipment in good condition.
When mechanical failure or abnormality is discovered, stop the machine and report it in time to assist in maintenance.
1. Security and Compliance
Strictly abide by the lifting machinery operating procedures and construction site safety management regulations .
Control the lifting angle and lifting weight, and do not overload.
Keep the area under the suspended object and within the operating radius free of people and obstacles.
When working in complex or dangerous environments, obey instructions and take safety measures.
1. Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with the lifting commander (signalman), construction team and other equipment operators.
Cooperate with transport vehicles and warehouse personnel to ensure smooth connection between lifting and logistics.
When encountering special lifting requirements, communicate the operation plan with the construction supervisor.
1. Records and Reports
Fill in the crane operation log and maintenance record.
Submit a safety checklist and job completion report for the lifting operation.
Job requirements
Junior high school / high school education or above, majoring in engineering machinery or electromechanical is preferred.
Hold a special equipment operator certificate (crane driver certificate) .
At least 2-3 years of experience in operating mobile cranes and familiarity with the performance of mobile cranes of different tonnages.
Be familiar with lifting operation specifications and safety operating procedures.
