Role Overview

As the Engineering Lead, you will own the end-to-end technical leadership of Amealio’s AI-driven platform. You’ll guide a growing team of engineers, architect scalable solutions on the MERN stack with Next.js, and ensure smooth deployment and optimization on AWS cloud infrastructure. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and AI / ML teams to bring cutting-edge features to life while keeping performance, scalability, and reliability at the core.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Architecture
• Lead design and implementation of scalable, high-performance applications using MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React / Next.js, Node.js).
• Architect solutions to handle millions of concurrent users, integrating AI-driven features seamlessly.
• Define coding standards, best practices, and ensure high-quality code reviews.
• AI & Platform Scaling
• Work with AI engineers to productionize ML models within the platform.
• Optimize APIs and microservices for speed, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Scale Next.js applications with server-side rendering (SSR) and edge deployments.
• Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps
• Oversee deployment, monitoring, and scaling on AWS (ECS / EKS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, DynamoDB, RDS, etc.).
• Implement CI / CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform / CloudFormation).
• Drive observability and reliability practices (logging, monitoring, alerts).
• Team & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Lead and mentor engineers; build a strong technical culture.
• Work closely with product, design, and business teams to translate requirements into engineering deliverables.
• Provide technical direction on feature prioritization, scalability trade-offs, and long-term roadmap.
