Job Title : EDI Developer II

Shift Timing : 2.00 PM to 11.00PM

SCOPE :

Perform advanced EDI configuration assignments. Requires full development lifecycle for Order and Invoice EDI transactions. They will work with Project Managers, fellow developers, QA teams, senior staff and other key stakeholders as required for delivery of solutions.

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

Programming concepts, procedures and standards

Ability to develop and maintain EDI transactions

Including 850, 855, 860, 865, 856, 810, 844, 846, 867, 870, and 997 .

Ability to map / configure in both ANSI X.12 EDI and EDIFACT formats.

Ability to map / configure XML, CBXML, iDoc

Technical Design and Architecture

Will have a strong understanding for the mapping of data elements

Will have a strong understanding of the compliant vs. noncompliant aspects of data elements for all transaction sets.

Will easily define and document flow-chart logic and data-flow diagrams

Will suggest changes and improvement where necessary to aid growth and scalability.

Will continue to learn and apply complex development, architecture and design concepts relative to other systems.

Business Acumen & Analysis

Will demonstrate a good understanding of business concepts, business rules, data flow and database structures of supported systems

Will have the ability to provide specification, flow charts and / or pseudo-code for design of new or updates to applications

Production Support

When required, will contribute to the problem solving, troubleshooting and debugging of software on production and non-production environments

May provide 24-hour support through participation in the Developer On-Call rotation (may require assistance from others depending on knowledge and experience).

Will also be available for providing after-hours, weekend, and holiday production support when called upon

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Overall Years of experience 5+ years and minimum experience of 3 years in relevant field.

REQUIRED SKILLS :

• Experience in Sterling Integrator is must

Ability to understand the end-to-end EDI lifecycle development - from Specification to production installation.

Ability to understand technical specifications and build appropriate transaction sets.

Experience dealing directly with customers developing B2B transactions.

Strong verbal and written communication

Understanding of business processes and enveloping for creating transactions.

Ability to develop and deploy EDI and EDIFACT transactions with moderate supervision.
