This is a unique opportunity where you can explore and implement your skills in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and more. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can collaborate with peers to solve day-to-day problems, has a passion for designing relational databases, data optimization and has great debugging skills.

Responsibilities :

You will be working with a team of talented engineers, Project Management, and get a chance to work closely with our customers to solve problems and build software that impacts daily operations of energy utilities.As a Database Engineer, you will take part in Requirement gathering, Efforts estimation, Design and Development for our enterprise product iTOA (integrated Tools for Operations Application).All things Database : Database Design and implementation, Performance improvements, Reviewing scripts, Data migration, scripts conversion from Oracle to MSSQL Server, Documentation of data structures, etc.

Technical Qualifications :

Minimum 1+ years of hands on experience with Oracle / SQL Server Database .

Must have performance tuning experience using AWR reports Database design and Data modeling.

Deep knowledge of Relational database concepts Database Development using Packages / Stored Procedures / Triggers in SQL, PLSQL and T-SQL Data migration and conversion.

Database performance and tuning, diagnosing memory leaks

Writing database documentation, including ERD and the data dictionary

Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues at the database and application levels.

Driven to understand the business use of the data objects, not just the implementation Ability to work on ad-hoc requests and works well with developers on simultaneous projects and tasks Effective and positive Communication and Team working skills Knowledge of SQL server and Java programming will be a plus

Work closely with product manager, development lead and users to gather requirements and translate them into scenarios and actual code Ability to estimate effort required to complete assigned developments Collaborate with the rest of team to ensure quality of software deliverables Excellent communication skills Motivation to document work and also write technical / functional specifications
