Align is currently seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, ServiceNow to join our DWE organization. This position will vary in the scope of project responsibilities; however generally this position is a technical leader who provides consultative technical direction to the Platform Support and Development Teams, assures enhancement and support decisions align to best practice guidelines, and provides technical input to driving platform enhancements and changes. As a Development Lead, you need to have a strong understanding of ServiceNow development practices as well as ITIL and Agile methodologies. This role will both lead a team as well as contribute to the development of the ServiceNow application and oversees a team of developers, configuration analysts and QA resources. In this role, you will… Participate in the development of business requirements ensuring a thorough understanding of business needs and processes and translate their business and technical requirements, propose solutions, and lead the technical delivery and implementation of the chosen solution. Design, Development and Implementation of ServiceNow solutions including, but not limited to core setup, workflow administration, reporting, data imports, integration, custom scripting and third-party software integrations. Coordinate with Platform Architect to ensure designs meet development guidelines and best practices. Performs advanced configurations including Business Rules, UI Pages, UI Macros, UI Scripts, Script Includes, Client Scripts, workflows, custom tables, reports, etc. Configure and customize the ServiceNow platform to support integration requirements, including configuring REST / SOAP and web services. Enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.) Accountable for the delivery of biweekly sprints for the development team as well as ensuring that platform SLAs are met. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, developers, analysts, process owners and managers to develop and implement best of breed complementary solutions interfacing ServiceNow. Coaches’ development resources to close technical and soft skill gaps during weekly mentoring sessions and provide technical guidance and recommendations on platform-wide development solutions. Identify opportunities to improve and streamline the overall platform and its performance. Demonstrate high degree of work ethics, accountability, versatile experience, and excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrate proven leadership skills, be an independent performer and be able to deliver with minimal or no supervision. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging integration technologies, and best practices, and provide guidance on integrating new platforms and systems. In this role, you’ll need … Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Overall, 8-12 years of experience in developing, architecture and operating ServiceNow platform. 5-7 years demonstrated experience architecting and configuring solutions in ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, Governance Risk & Compliance, HRSD and Agile modules. Proficiency in ServiceNow platform & development, including Scripting, APIs, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, ATFs, Service Portal, and integrations. Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow Best Practices and ongoing knowledge of latest ServiceNow features Experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML, AngularJS, CSS, and integration technologies and protocols, including REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, PowerShell and web services. Participation in the full software development life cycle : Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing and promotion into Production Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues and propose effective solutions. Effective communication and collaboration skills, self-motivated and flexible with the ability to work effectively and independently with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist) are highly desirable.
