About the Role

We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our dynamic Human Resources team at

The New Indian Express Group . This role is ideal for freshers and early-career professionals who are passionate about people, processes, and creating a positive workplace culture.

The HR Coordinator will support end-to-end HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, employee engagement, and HR operations, ensuring seamless implementation of HR policies and practices across departments.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

Assist in full-cycle recruitment for editorial, digital, sales, and support functions.

Coordinate job postings, shortlist candidates, schedule interviews, and maintain candidate databases.

Conduct reference checks and support onboarding and induction programs for new hires.

Build and maintain recruitment trackers and reports.

Payroll & Salary Process

Assist in monthly payroll preparation.

Maintain attendance, leave, and timesheet records.

Ensure accurate salary inputs, deductions, and reimbursements.

Support in handling employee queries related to pay, tax, and benefits.

HR Operations & Administration

Maintain employee records, HRMS data, and personnel files.

Assist in preparation of HR letters (offer, confirmation, relieving, etc.).

Support statutory compliance activities and HR audits.

Coordinate with internal departments for employee-related documentation and approvals.

Employee Engagement & Welfare

Support in planning and organizing internal communication, celebrations, and engagement activities.

Assist in HR initiatives like Diwali celebrations, rewards & recognition, and CSR events.

Gather feedback and contribute ideas to strengthen employee satisfaction and culture.

Learning & Development

Help identify training needs and coordinate learning sessions.

Track participation and maintain learning records.

Skills & Attributes

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and basic HR software.

Understanding of HR processes, recruitment tools (LinkedIn, Naukri, etc.), and compliance basics.

Positive attitude, confidentiality, and a people-first mindset.
