We are looking for a Technology Engineer to serve as the technical authority for Open-Source databases ( PostgreSQL, MongoDB )
This role focuses on standardization, automation, monitoring, and capacity planning to ensure platform operational stability and efficiency. You will define and maintain a product strategy, roadmap, and backlog , driving innovation and cost efficiency through R&D and vendor engagement. Key responsibilities include establishing and enforcing performance standards , enabling agile delivery for projects while safeguarding database performance. The role also involves designing solutions to enhance operational stability , automating deployments, and reducing business-impacting incidents. You will act as a technical mentor and escalation point , guiding teams and ensuring adherence to the Group IT Technology Stack.
Requirements
Education
- Essential : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Preferred : Relevant professional certifications.
Experience
Essential : 8–12 years of experience in a senior technical position within large organizations.Preferred : Experience in the banking industry.Technical Knowledge & Skills
MongoDB
Excellent knowledge in MongoDB database administration, architecture, and internals.Excellent knowledge of MongoDB backup / restore mechanisms, patching / upgrades, and Ops Manager.Strong expertise in MongoDB replicase and sharding.PostgreSQL
Excellent knowledge in PostgreSQL database administration, architecture, and internals.Strong expertise in PostgreSQL high availability (HA) and clustering.Proficient with PostgreSQL monitoring tools and backup / restore mechanisms.MySQL
