with expertise in creating
high-quality, photo-realistic simulations
that elevate storytelling in cinematic, advertising, game, and real-time projects. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in
Houdini, Vellum, Maya, and Unreal Engine
Cinema 4d Insydium
with a deep understanding of
procedural workflows, physics-based simulations, and creative problem-solving.
Success in this role means delivering visually compelling effects while collaborating seamlessly with lighting, modeling, animation, and compositing teams to achieve world-class results.
Responsibilities :
Create high-quality simulations including
smoke, dust, fire, water, particles, cloth, destruction, and rigid / soft body dynamics.
Develop procedural workflows for efficient, scalable, and flexible simulation setups.
Work closely with lighting, modeling, animation, and compositing teams to integrate simulations into final shots.
Optimise simulations for both
offline 4k cinematic rendering and real-time pipelines.
Apply Houdini shading techniques and procedural setups to enhance realism.
Use
Python scripting
or tool development to streamline workflows.
Troubleshoot and refine simulation outputs to meet creative and technical requirements.
Stay updated with the latest tools, techniques, and best practices in FX simulation.
Qualifications :
Experience : Proven track record in simulation / FX within the CGI, VFX, or gaming industry.
Software Proficiency : Strong knowledge of
Houdini (Vellum), Maya, and Unreal Engine.
Simulation Skills : Expertise in
particle FX, fluids, destruction, cloth, and dynamic simulations.
Technical Skills : Experience with
procedural workflows, Houdini shading, and Python scripting.
Collaboration : Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with cross-disciplinary teams.
Creative Foundation : Ability to balance realism with artistic direction to achieve cinematic quality.
Nice to Have : Familiarity with
Embergen, Cinema 4d and Liquigen.
