Role Summary
Spearhead the industrial coatings division, driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building strategic partnerships in sectors like manufacturing, automotive, and infrastructure
Report to the NSM; lead a high-performing team, craft go-to-market strategies, and ensure dominance in the competitive landscape
Pivotal role for a results-oriented leader passionate about the paints and coatings industry, with P&L accountability and focus on sustainable, high-margin growth
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for industrial coatings to achieve annual revenue targets (e.g., 20-30% YoY growth), including forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking
Lead and mentor a team of regional sales managers and executives, fostering a high-motivation culture through training, coaching, and performance evaluations
Identify and secure new business opportunities with key industrial clients (e.g., OEMs, engineering firms), conducting market analysis to penetrate untapped segments
Build and nurture long-term relationships with distributors, dealers, and end-users, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and timely resolution of queries or complaints
Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and technical teams to align product innovations with market needs, promoting Sheenlac's sustainable and high-performance coatings
Monitor competitor activities (e.g., Asian Paints, Berger, Kansai Nerolac) and industry trends, adapting strategies to maintain a competitive edge in pricing, product positioning, and service delivery
Oversee logistics and supply chain coordination to ensure seamless product availability, minimizing downtime and optimizing inventory for industrial clients
Drive promotional initiatives, such as industry trade shows, client demos, and B2B events, to enhance brand visibility and generate leads
Analyze sales data and KPIs using tools like CRM systems to refine tactics, report on pipeline health, and contribute to annual business planning
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and sustainability standards, positioning Sheenlac as a trusted partner in eco-friendly industrial solutions
Qualifications & Requirements
MBA or equivalent in Sales / Marketing / Business Management from a reputed institution
10+ years of progressive experience in B2B industrial sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the paints / coatings / chemicals industry (experience with competitors like Asian Paints or Berger preferred)
Proven track record of achieving / exceeding sales targets in industrial segments, with P&L management exposure
Strong understanding of industrial coatings applications, market dynamics, and supply chain in manufacturing-heavy regions
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to travel 40-50% across India
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and data analytics for sales forecasting
Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach and passion for innovation in sustainable coatings
Exceptional communication and presentation skills for C-suite interactions
