Job description

Description GSPANN is hiring a Network Engineer – L3 Support with expertise in advanced enterprise networking, infrastructure automation, and cloud integration. This full-time role involves handling escalations, leading root-cause analysis, and optimizing hybrid network environments across global operations.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and Microsoft to resolve issues within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Oversee and optimize enterprise network infrastructure, including firewalls (Palo Alto – Cloud and On-Premise, Microsoft Azure Firewall), Cisco switches, and access points.
  • Support wireless LAN controllers and Cisco Digital Network Architecture Center (DNAC) for centralized wireless management.
  • Manage network authentication platforms like Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Terminal Access Controller Access-Control System (TACACS).
  • Handle load balancers across environments, including F5 and Microsoft Azure.
  • Maintain DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) services using Infoblox and Microsoft Domain Name System (DNS) / Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
  • Administer cloud networking setups on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Manage the commissioning and decommissioning of physical and virtual network assets.
  • Design and implement automation for real-time health monitoring and incident healing.
  • Automate processes across asset lifecycle management, patching, upgrades, and provisioning.
  • Execute batch jobs and integrate scripting to streamline operational tasks.
  • Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption and FinOps (Financial Operations) initiatives.
  • Maintain seamless 24 / 7 / 365 network operations across global environments.
  • Execute expedited change requests and fulfill service tickets with minimal business impact.
  • Lead efforts around capacity planning, performance tuning, and network availability optimization.
  • Maintain and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), hardening policies, and patch compliance.
  • Track licenses, warranties, and vendor contracts to ensure proactive renewals and compliance.
  • Support Disaster Recovery (DR) readiness by conducting routine backup restoration drills.
  • Follow ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) aligned processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration, Availability, and Service Level Management.
  • Drive continuous service improvement initiatives across network infrastructure and operations.
  • Mentor and train L0–L2 engineers to build technical depth and support maturity.
  • Lead upgrades and refresh projects to maintain supported versions of hardware and software.
  • Serve as the final escalation point for Level 0 to Level 2 (L0–L2) teams on all network-related incidents.
  • Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) and manage problem resolution for recurring or high-impact issues.

Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering roles.
  • Expertise in Cisco networking technologies, including switches, access points, and DNAC.
  • Hands-on with next-generation firewalls such as Palo Alto Networks and Microsoft Azure Firewall.
  • Manage DDI solutions using Infoblox and Microsoft DNS / DHCP.
  • Support enterprise wireless LANs and associated controllers.
  • Operate effectively within cloud networking environments including Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Use network monitoring, asset management, and orchestration tools to drive operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of ITIL processes and large-scale enterprise IT operations.
