Job description

We are looking for a creative, skilled UI Developer who can combine the art of design with the art of programming. Also known as Front-End Web Developers. As a UI Developer, you will work on the aesthetic of a website to make it appealing to the user while maintaining the core functionality of the software. The selected candidate will work with back-end developers and web developers to ensure that the software is optimised for several devices and presented attractively.

The right candidate must have a strong understanding of design principles and user experience (UX) design. He / she should be able to accommodate the aesthetic ideals of the company, product, or program they’re working for without compromising usability. Additionally, you will have to stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and UI trends.

Responsibilities :

Visual Design and UI Components :

Design visually appealing user interfaces, including layouts, typography, color palettes, iconography, and other visual elements. Establish and maintain design systems and component libraries for consistency.

Front-End Implementation and Collaboration :

Translate design concepts into functional web interfaces using HTML and CSS (including preprocessors like SCSS). Collaborate closely with front-end developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation and adherence to design specifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Proficiency in UI / UX Design Principles : Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.

Expertise in Design Tools : Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.

Strong HTML and CSS Skills : Demonstrated ability to write clean, semantic HTML and efficient, well-structured CSS. Experience with responsive design techniques and CSS preprocessors.

Understanding of React.js and Javascript : Understanding of React.js and JavaScript for interactive elements and front-end development communication.

User Research and Testing Methodologies : Experience with various user research methods and usability testing techniques.

Communication and Collaboration : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present design concepts and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Problem-Solving and Creativity : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a creative approach to design challenges.

Portfolio : A strong portfolio showcasing relevant UI / UX design projects and demonstrating proficiency in HTML / CSS implementation.
