Position : QA Engineer (Manual + Automation)

Experience Required : 5+ years Manual Testing, 2+ years Automation Testing

Location : Bangalore, Hybrid

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled QA Engineer with strong experience in manual testing and proven hands-on expertise in test automation . The ideal candidate will ensure software quality by creating and executing test plans, designing automation frameworks, and collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners.

Key Responsibilities

Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

Develop, document, and execute manual test cases for functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium / Playwright / Cypress / Appium (based on project stack).

Contribute to building and enhancing test automation frameworks.

Integrate automated tests into CI / CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps ).

Perform API testing using tools like Postman / Rest Assured .

Identify, log, track, and report defects, ensuring timely resolution.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality at every stage of the SDLC.

Provide test metrics, coverage reports, and suggest process improvements.

Ensure compliance with QA best practices , coding standards, and test strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

Manual Testing (5+ years) :

Strong experience in functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.

Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies.

Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC.

Automation Testing (2+ years) :

Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, or Appium .

Strong knowledge of Core Java / C# / Python (whichever applies).

Experience in building automation frameworks (Hybrid, Data-driven, POM, BDD using Cucumber).

Good understanding of API automation (Postman, RestAssured).

Familiarity with Git / Bitbucket for version control.

Exposure to CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

Databases :

Good knowledge of SQL queries for data validation.

Other Skills :

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud-based testing (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).

Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
