Position Overview
The Project Engineering Team & Commissioning team –is responsible for complete end-to-end execution of SCADA, PPC, EMS, and Monitoring projects across utility-scale and industrial sites.
This role includes :
Technical engineering & field execution
Installation, testing & commissioning
Multi-site project coordination
Customer & stakeholder communication
System integration, troubleshooting & validation
High-quality project delivery & handover
You will work closely with R&D, Software, Hardware, Support, Supply Chain, and Project Management teams to ensure defect-free and on-time execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Preparation
Review project scope, architecture, BOQ, drawings, and customer specifications.
Prepare project schedules, execution plans, resource requirements & risk assessments.
Coordinate with SCM, logistics & warehouse for material readiness.
Conduct site surveys, feasibility checks & pre-commissioning readiness inspections.
2. Execution & Installation
Supervise installation of SCADA / EMS / PPC equipment : gateways, servers, WMS, sensors, meters, networking devices, DAQs.
Oversee cabling, panel integration, communication wiring, LAN setup & field mounting.
Ensure safety compliance, installation quality & adherence to engineering standards.
Coordinate with technicians, contractors, EPC partners & OEM teams.
3. Testing & Commissioning
Configure devices, servers, protocols (Modbus RTU / TCP, RS485, TCP / IP), and cloud connectivity.
Perform P2P testing, data validation, signal mapping & interoperability checks.
Troubleshoot field issues such as communication breakdowns, device failures & network instability.
Complete final commissioning, FAT / SAT processes & customer sign-off.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning & testing reports.
Maintain site logs, project trackers, daily progress updates & As-Built documentation.
Ensure all documents are uploaded to internal tools / portals accurately and on time.
5. Customer & Internal Coordination
Act as the primary technical contact for customers, EPCs, OEMs and internal teams.
Provide timely updates, handle queries & ensure smooth technical communication.
Coordinate with R&D, software & hardware teams for escalations or custom integrations.
Conduct training sessions on SCADA dashboards, system operation, alarms & analytics.
6. Post-Project Support
Ensure structured handover to O&M and Support teams.
Review project learnings and propose improvements for future execution excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
B.E. / B.Tech / Masters in EEE, ECE, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Renewable Energy.
3–5 years’ experience in solar EPC, SCADA, EMS, PPC, automation, or industrial communication.
Hands-on experience with inverters, meters, sensors, data loggers, gateways & networking hardware.
Strong knowledge of Modbus (RTU / TCP), RS485, TCP / IP, networking & system integration.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities (hardware + software + networking).
Experience in utility-scale solar, wind, hybrid or BESS commissioning preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office, project trackers; AutoCAD / Visio is an added advantage.
Willingness to travel across India and internationally.
