Backbone Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Backbone Engineer with strong hands-on experience in PoP (Point of Presence) or Data Center builds. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in network infrastructure, fiber optics, and large-scale deployment projects, along with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex backbone networks across global environments.

Qualifications

• CCNP or JNCIP certification required
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in Backbone, PoP, or Data Center network deployment
• Solid understanding of fiber-optic technologies, connector types, and optical transport
• Hands-on experience with Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Ciena, Infinera, and related platforms
• Strong documentation, organization, and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, working across global teams
• Programming or scripting experience (Python, Bash, etc.) is a plus
