We are seeking a Fire Protection Designer with expertise in REVIT to produce BIM models and construction drawings for mechanical (MEP) services. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled professional with a strong background in industrial or commercial fire protection design. This role requires excellent coordination skills, a meticulous approach to work, and the ability to produce accurate, clash-free designs.
Key Responsibilities
- BIM Modeling & Drawing Production : Create BIM models for fire protection services using REVIT MEP . Develop a variety of 2D construction deliverables, including sprinkler layouts, fire alarm layouts, piping layouts, and isometric drawings .
- Coordination : Work closely with other disciplines to ensure assigned work is coordinated and results in a clash-free design .
- Technical Drawing : Produce detailed drawings such as general arrangement drawings for equipment rooms, plumbing drawings, riser diagrams, and equipment schedules.
- Collaboration & Growth : Act as a committed team player while also being able to work on your own initiative. Show a willingness to take on more engineering design responsibilities by working closely with the lead engineer.
Required Qualifications
Education : Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI / NCTVT - Mechanical Draftsman.Experience : A minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection design for industrial or commercial projects.Technical Skills :Proficiency in REVIT is a must.Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and experience with coordination tools like Navisworks .Familiarity with MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote).Industry Knowledge : Working knowledge of international codes and standards such as ASME, NFPA, International Fire Code , and others relevant to food, consumer, manufacturing, and industrial projects.Soft Skills : Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (verbal and written). You must also be able to self-check your work to produce accurate deliverables.Skills Required
