Roles and Responsibilities
Job Role
- Sound understanding of Goods & Service Tax (GST) & experience of implementation of GST in the company
- Working knowledge of filing GST returns (GSTR-1,GSTR-3B,GSTR-,ITC-04, etc., Crosscharge, Distribution of ITC availed at ISD)
- Study existing Tax positions of the company, finding GAP, if any & suggesting corrective actions
- Understanding of earlier Indirect Taxes law being VAT, CST, Entry Tax, Service Tax etc.
- Must have handled VAT, Statutory Forms ( C / F / E-1 / E-2 / I) & waybills compliances of multiple States.
- Study of purchase transactions & invoices to avail maximum permissible Input Tax credits ITC) .
- Study & implementation of processes for various cost saving opportunities.
- Should be updated on changes in GST through notification, circulars, budgets, relevant case laws
- Handling VAT / CST / Entry Tax Assessment and Audit conducted by VAT & Service Tax Department.
- Handling Appeals at various appellate level in GST, Customs and VAT & Service Tax Department.
- Liaison with Revenue Authorities.
- Handling Statutory Audit and Internal Audit requirements
- Representation before CBIC on various issues related to industry, company
- Check, rectify & improvements of various reports in accounting systems.
- Must be managing a team of at-least 3-4 people.
- Must have good communication & convincing skills to deal with multiple departments & function (both internal & external)
- Involvement in various new projects related to software & system improvement, implementation of e- invoice at input side to check QR Code & IRN No. etc.
- Must have knowledge of SAP.
