About the Role

Monitor and control the quality of raw materials such as cement, aggregates, admixtures, and water.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine testing of concrete at various stages - from batching to delivery.

Ensure that concrete produced meets required specifications and standards.

Prepare and maintain quality control test reports, records, and documents.

Inspect and calibrate laboratory and batching plant equipment regularly.

Supervise and guide lab technicians in sampling and testing procedures.

Conduct dry mixes to achieve desired concrete grades and performance characteristics.

Coordinate with production and dispatch teams to ensure consistent quality during operations.

Investigate customer complaints related to concrete quality and suggest corrective actions.

Maintain proper storage and handling of raw materials to prevent contamination or quality deterioration.

Ensure implementation of quality assurance procedures and safety standards at the plant.

Qualifications

Diploma / BTech / MTech degree in civil engineering or related field.

Required Skills

Minimum 5 years of experience in QC at an RMC plant.

Strong knowledge of concrete technology and mix design.

Familiarity with IS codes and quality testing procedures.

Ability to operate and calibrate lab and plant equipment.

Analytical and problem-solving skills, good communication and coordination abilities, proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation.
