Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-level Civil Engineer – Land Development to execute and support a variety of site development and infrastructure projects. This role serves as a technical execution specialist in the planning, design, and execution of Renewables (especially Solar), BESS and Substation projects. The successful candidate will learn and apply advanced engineering principles, provide flawless and pro-active execution supervision, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Mid-level Civil Engineer, your primary responsibility is to support engineering teams in creating accurate and quality deliverables on site grading, erosion control, surface preparation, stormwater management systems, and infrastructure utility layouts. You will work under the direct supervision of a Senior Civil Engineer. You will coordinate with multiple disciplines, apply engineering standards, and work towards process improvement while learning new tools and technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

· Lead civil design and engineering for land development and renewable energy projects (Solar, BESS, T&D, Substations), including site grading, drainage, access roads, fencing, stormwater management, erosion control, and demolition.

· Prepare and oversee design drawings, construction plans, technical specifications, and engineering reports in compliance with AHJ, zoning regulations, municipal requirements, and industry standards.

· Conduct detailed calculations for stormwater drainage, culvert sizing, and site grading using tools like AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

· Coordinate site layouts with survey, environmental, electrical, structural, and substation teams to ensure consistent and integrated project delivery.

· Manage engineering deliverables across multiple projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.

· Engage with US design specialists and clients to understand goals, constraints, and project drivers.

· Present technical concepts and updates to stakeholders and contribute to proposals, scopes, and cost estimates.

· Promote innovation by exploring new technologies, AI/ML tools, and improving company standards, CAD systems, and documentation procedures.

· Lead and mentor small teams of engineers and designers, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing.

· Maintain quality control, project documentation, and compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.

· Perform essential computations, develop design deliverables, and support internal/external client interests throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.

· 3–4 years of progressive experience in civil/site development and infrastructure design, including preparation of engineering calculations, construction, and permitting drawings.

· Familiar with AHJ regulations, permitting processes, and utility coordination for land development projects.

· Experience with US Renewables and BESS projects is preferred.

· Proficient in civil design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Google Earth, Hydraflow, HydroCAD, Global Mapper, SewerGEMS, GIS, and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Solid understanding of coordinate geometry and land surveying.

· Strong communication skills for client interactions and technical presentations.

· Skilled in managing design schedules, budgets, quality control, and interdisciplinary coordination.

· Team-oriented, adaptable, and effective in dynamic, deadline-driven environments.
