Vendor Onboarding Specialist

We are seeking a Vendor Onboarding Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of subcontractor onboarding — from initial contact to compliance approval — while also maintaining strong vendor relations that drive long-term business growth. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance both administrative compliance tasks and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Onboarding & Compliance

• Manage the end-to-end onboarding of subcontractors (subs), ensuring they complete contracts, insurance, W-9s, licenses, and all compliance documentation.
• Enter, track, and maintain vendor details in internal systems (CRM, ERP, project management platforms).
• Verify subcontractor compliance with AHJ, financier, and utility requirements before assigning projects.
• Conduct initial training for subs on Lytegen's SOPs, photo pack / compliance checklists, and project expectations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Operations, or related field).

2+ years of experience in vendor management, subcontractor onboarding, account management, or operations (solar / renewable energy experience is a plus).

Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple vendors and deadlines at once.

Persuasive and professional, with the ability to build trust quickly.

Detail-oriented, especially with compliance documents and process accuracy.
