Position : Lead - Health Insurance Product

About the Role
This role drives the strategic direction of the Health Insurance product portfolio, ensuring the organisation continuously identifies and captures attractive market opportunities through market intelligence, competitor analysis, customer insights, and product innovation. The individual serves as the central anchor for market-driven strategy, working closely with Actuarial / Product Design, Sales, Operations, and senior leadership to shape a competitive, customer-centric product portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction of the Health insurance product portfolio across segments and customer groups.
- Drive continuous market research, competitor intelligence, and trend analysis to identify opportunities and unmet needs.
- Translate insights into clear portfolio recommendations, including segment prioritization, coverage strategy, and profitability focus.
- Partner with Actuarial / Product Design to shape and prioritize new product initiatives and enhancements.
- Ensure product propositions remain competitive in pricing, benefits, and positioning.
- Generate and refine innovative product and service ideas, including digital / technology-enabled offerings.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept to launch, coordinating with actuarial, sales, operations, and marketing.
- Develop value propositions, USPs, and messaging frameworks for each product in collaboration with Marketing and Sales.
- Support go-to-market planning and ensure consistent communication across channels.
- Present strategic recommendations, market insights, and product performance updates to senior leadership and governance committees.
Qualifications
Postgraduate degree preferred — MBA (Marketing / Strategy / Healthcare / Business) or equivalent.8+ years of experience in health insurance, broader insurance, or healthcare sectors, with strong exposure to product strategy, portfolio management, or market research.Proven success in launching new products or driving competitive product strategies.Experience working closely with actuarial, commercial / sales, and cross-functional teams.Strong analytical thinking, insight-led decision-making, and market-driven mindset.Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.If you are interested for the same then connect with beauty@rightmatch.co.in - linkedin.Com / in / beautyroy
