Position Overview
The National Sales Head is responsible for developing and executing nationwide sales strategies for nitrile gloves, driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building high-performing sales teams. This leadership role demands extensive expertise in medical consumables, with strong relationship management, strategic planning, and proven results in B2B sales across India.-
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strategic sales plans targeting hospitals, clinics, distributors, and institutional buyers for nitrile gloves at a national level.
- Recruit, train, and manage regional sales managers and field representatives; foster a performance-driven culture aligned to company goals.
- Set and achieve annual sales targets, monitor KPIs, and provide regular reports and forecasts to the President.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key customers, government agencies, healthcare groups, and high-value partners.
- Oversee contract negotiation, pricing strategies, and successful closure of large accounts; ensure compliance with company approval and legal requirements.
- Analyze national market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for penetration and expansion.
- Collaborate with marketing for nationwide campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities; provide input on product positioning and brand initiatives.
- Ensure best-in-class customer service standards, handle customer escalations, and champion retention strategies.
- Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities, accurately update CRM, and represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and major industry events.
Skills and Qualifications
Graduate / PG in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field.Minimum 10 years' sales experience with at least 5 years in national / regional sales role in healthcare / medical supplies; nitrile gloves segment experience preferred.Proven track record of leading large sales teams to exceed targets.Strong leadership and people management skills, including recruitment and coaching.Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication abilities.Strategic thinker with analytical acumen and hands-on operational discipline.Willing to travel extensively pan-India as required-Reporting Structure
Directly reports to the President and works closely with Marketing, Operations, and Finance departments for integrated sales execution.
