This role is on a Digital Transactions and Identity team in the lululemon technology organization. lululemon Engineering is dedicated to building secure, reliable, and performant products for our guests and partners. As Technology Manager, you will work as part of a global team supported by our business, engineering and architecture partners to help us collaboratively develop and deliver industry leading technology solutions that drive lululemon’s business goals.

A day in the life :

  • Lead and grow a team of skilled engineers, architects, and analysts through empathy and people-centric approach
  • Set the team's delivery roadmap and technical goals, working closely with technology leaders in North America and other partner teams.
  • Ensure team's deliverables meet the security, quality and engineering maturity standards set by enterprise architecture and engineering
  • Ensure that team is delivering as per the planned timelines by helping remove any blockers
  • Manage the resource and delivery plans for the team.
  • Ensure the right skills are being used to solve the right problems by supporting the team with coaching, skills development, and career path leadership
  • Being a role model and lead awareness and training for your team in our IDEA program - Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Action.

Qualifications :

Technology Manager – Web, eCommerce & post purchase, Cloud & DevOps

We are looking for an experienced Technology Manager with proven expertise in retail eCommerce , modern web development frameworks , and cloud / DevOps practices . This role requires a balance of technical depth and leadership skills to drive the design, delivery, and optimization of large-scale, customer-facing digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities :

Web & eCommerce Front-End Engineering :

  • Lead the development of responsive, high-performance web applications using React.js , leveraging component-based architecture and modern JavaScript best practices.
  • Build and optimize server-rendered applications with Next.js to enhance performance, SEO, and user experience.
  • Create scalable, interactive user interfaces with Angular and JavaScript for maintainable enterprise front-end solutions.
  • Deliver engaging retail eCommerce experiences leveraging the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) front-end tech stack (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ISML, jQuery).
  • Cloud & DevOps :

  • Apply DevOps principles to streamline workflows, enable automation, and ensure reliable deployments across environments.
  • Architect, deploy, and manage cloud solutions on AWS to deliver secure, scalable, and high-availability applications.
  • Establish monitoring, observability, and performance optimization frameworks to ensure smooth operations of web platforms.
  • Leadership & Retail Domain Expertise :

  • Drive engineering excellence across retail eCommerce programs , aligning technology solutions with customer experience goals and business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with product, UX, and business stakeholders to deliver seamless omnichannel journeys across digital touchpoints.
  • Mentor and guide engineering teams, ensuring adoption of best practices in front-end engineering, DevOps, and cloud architectures .
  • Qualifications & Experience :

  • 7+ years of professional experience in web front-end development with React.js, Next.js, Angular, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • 5+ years of experience in people leadership, including mentoring, performance management, and career development
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ISML, jQuery).
  • Proven track record delivering retail eCommerce solutions at scale.
  • Demonstrated experience with DevOps practices , CI / CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure on AWS .
  • 5+ years of proven leadership experience managing and growing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Exposure to AI-driven solutions (e.g., personalization, recommendations, chatbots, analytics) in retail / eCommerce environments is a strong plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence technical and business teams.
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, global retail or consumer technology environment is highly preferred.
