  • This job is part of the Sales Strategy team within the Sales Division.
  • The Sales Strategy Team contributes to the airline’s long-term profitability by supporting Sales, Alliances, Loyalty, Network Planning, Revenue Management, and others through action-oriented analytics; and effective coordination and execution of cross-functional initiatives and partnerships.
  • This job is a member of the Sales Strategy team within Sales where you’ll lead indirect channel strategies that span across Sales and Revenue Management.

  • Lead team of Sales Strategy analysts to drive incremental revenue and maximize program profitability through production and analysis of complex revenue models and forecasts
  • Use advanced data analytics to identify revenue opportunities within the indirect channel and partner with key stakeholders to gain insights into customer behavior
  • Translate complex models in clear, business-friendly terms to gain buy-in from leaders and stakeholders
  • Partner with various teams within Sales, Revenue Management, Revenue Analysis, Alliances, and Finance, among other internal stakeholders, to ensure successful delivery of Sales Strategy initiatives
  • Lead a team to identify and quantify revenue opportunities through in-depth analysis of data. Develop and recommend practical revenue management solutions, taking a strong leadership role in a wide variety of revenue initiatives, collaborating with other departments including Pricing, Yield Management, Network Planning, Sales, Finance, AAdvantage, and Marketing.
  • Drive forward top priority commercial initiatives that span across the company and our partner airlines, bringing alignment around commercial strategies, maintaining clear communication across teams, and ensuring cross-functional actions are completed
  • Drive and coordinate projects with other departments and presents analyses and recommendations to senior management
  • Ensure continuous training and provides development opportunities for the analyst pool
  • Contribute to and drive forward a thriving team culture exemplified by personal integrity and accountability, respect and inclusiveness, collaboration, adaptability, positivity, and care for others
  • Build on knowledge and experience to create a vision for the future direction of the commercial teams and the company at large.   • Create buy-in from peers to drive towards a defined direction, establish influence within peers’ group, serve as mentor / role model, push the group to be better and holds the group accountable
  • Willing to travel when needed for business

    Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience / training
  • 7 years’ work experience
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience directly or indirectly leading teams with significant enterprise and / or top line revenue responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to solve and lead others in solving complex analytical problems
  • Master’s degree in business-related discipline
  • Skills, Licenses, and Certifications :

  • Ability to manage a team and support critical business decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Master in verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels both within and outside the organization.
  • Tailors communication to the audience in a way that is meaningful and elicits a response that is geared towards action and, or understanding for future decisions.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with and consensus amongst multiple stakeholders with varying points of view at all levels of the organization
