JD for IT Resident Engineer
An IT Cabling Resident Engineer job involves on-site supervision and quality assurance of the installation and maintenance of network cabling infrastructure , acting as the technical expert and liaison between the client, contractors, and project management to ensure compliance with design, standards, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Supervision : Provide technical oversight and manage the day-to-day activities of cabling contractors on-site.
- Quality Assurance : Inspect and verify the quality of installations, ensuring they meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Technical Liaison : Act as the primary technical point of contact for the client and project team, resolving any site-specific construction or technical issues.
- Documentation : Prepare and manage site reports, progress updates, and non-conformance reports, and ensure accurate documentation of the cabling infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting & Support : Diagnose and resolve complex network connectivity and cabling-related issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Compliance : Monitor and enforce adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and other relevant policies.
- Risk Management : Identify and mitigate risks related to installation and infrastructure deployment.
