Position : Cloud Security Architect / Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Architect / Senior Engineer with a strong background in Application & Network Security and expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud security frameworks. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that security controls, governance policies, and compliance requirements are embedded into cloud-based solutions and enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities :
Cloud Security Architecture & Design :
- Design and implement secure cloud solutions aligned with security and business
requirements across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Define cloud security strategies, frameworks, and standards to safeguard enterprise workloads.Conduct architecture design reviews and threat modeling for new solutions and technology adoptions.Application & Network Security :
Integrate security practices across the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).Implement IAM (Identity & Access Management), network segmentation, data protection, andkey management solutions for cloud environments.
Ensure adherence to compliance frameworks and security best practices.Risk Management & Security Assessments :
Conduct cloud security risk assessments, gap analysis, and vulnerability assessments.Recommend and implement mitigations for identified risks in line with organizationalstandards and regulatory requirements.
Lead security governance and control processes, including audits and compliance checks.Cloud Security Operations :
Implement and optimize security monitoring tools, including SIEM and CASB solutions, forreal-time threat detection and response.
Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to operationalize cloud security practices and incident response processes.Collaboration & Leadership :
Present technical security strategies and risk assessments to senior leadership and diversestakeholders.
Work as part of cross-functional teams (cloud, IT, DevOps, application teams) to integratesecurity solutions seamlessly.
Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance to improve cloud security maturity.Required Skills & Experience :
6+ years of overall experience in Application & Network Security.Minimum 2+ years as Cloud Security Architect / Senior Engineer in cloud-based enterpriseenvironments.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP (certifications preferred).Proficiency in SSDLC, IAM, network security, data protection, and key management.Expertise in threat modeling, risk assessments, and security architecture design.Experience with CASB, virtualization technologies, cloud governance frameworks, and security monitoring tools.Ability to present complex security topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills and experience in making critical security decisions under pressure.Nice-to-Have Skills :
Familiarity with enterprise application architecture and troubleshooting.Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).Experience with DevSecOps practices and automation of security controls.(ref : hirist.tech)
